Reflection Entry #1-First Newspapers

          Compared to today's newspapers we have a lot more freedom to publish what we want then they did long ago, back then you had to get permission from the government to publish news and today you don't even have to ask you can just post what ever you want, of course today we deal with a lot of fake news, back then if fake news was an issue it was taken to the authorities.We also deal with a lot of online news in today's society

         I do not think that the government should have control at all over anything to do with news, the government has so many other things to focus on so I do not think that this should be something they worry about, if the news was actually affecting the government negatively then they should have the power to take it down.

         People love to hear things about the government, so when it's published the government doesn't do anything about it because it's media and it is not affecting them negatively, and the government does not have the right to shut the media down.

        Honestly it doesn't surprise me at all the the first newspaper was in Halifax in Canada, there was just more going on there at the time so I think that's why media could really become a thing.
